Pollen Index 6000 +

Spring has finally arrived in NC. The dogwoods are in bloom.
Daffodils and these beautiful purple trees. I'm not sure what they are but I just love the color!
The cherry blossoms, my absolute favorite!
and the downside of spring. Pollen. This was taken 30 minutes after the car had been washed. Really!???
Poor Noah! His allergies are bad enough without the pollen but this time of year is killer.
At the beginning of April Kirstin was playing a game of soccer when she sprained her ankle. It was pretty bad.
We gave it a couple of days then decided to take her to the Dr. to make sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't but she's sprained this ankle before and they wanted to take precautions to insure she didn't continue to have more injuries down the road so she got a boot.
She wears it with pride. They told her she would be back to playing soccer in 6 weeks just after the season ends. She's decided that it won't be that long. I do hope she can get back into at it for her last couple of games. We'll see. She's doing physical therapy.

Around this same time Emil had a business trip to Baltimore, MD. It helped me appreciate living in the part of the world that we do. The city is nice but I never feel comfortable there. I feel like I always have to be on guard.
I went up for a day and we got to go to the temple then I drove back home the next day.
It was a very short trip but it was so nice to have the kids old enough and trustworthy that we could do that.
We have some good kids!
I made a new cheesecake for the cafe. Oreo. I'm looking for ideas for others to try. What's your favorite cheesecake?
We enjoyed Conference last weekend.  We had Kirstin's friend Catherine join us for the second session on Saturday. Noah is going through a growth spurt and is always eating or sleeping.

In this session of conference it was sleeping. I'm ready for Easter this weekend and then Spring Break for the kids. I hope that the weather is sunny and the temps are decent so we can have a couple of days down at the beach. I need some sun on my skin!
