Love is in the Air

So it's tax return time which for us means, home improvements. Guess what we did this year? I'll give you a hint.....
The Carpet in the living room. We've lived here 10 years this month and it was time, actually it was past time!
We removed the carpet and padding one night for Family Night. It went surprisingly quick.
The next day 1 guy came over to install it and was done in about an hour. He was quick and strong. If only all home improvement projects were so quick and painless. We want to put in wood flooring in the downstairs hall, dining room and steps but for now they have the old carpet still. (Drat!)
We all love the new shade. It looks so good with our furniture and feels nice on the footsies.
For Valentines Day Noah had a secret admirer!
He was so funny telling us about it. We just happened to have the missionaries over that night for dinner and I think he enjoyed the extra audience. His school was having a Valentine Dance and I think she was going to reveal herself at the Dance. Sadly, he's too young for dances so he didn't go. Such a heartbreaker!
I made some new pillow cases for February. Emil thought they were beyond cheesy but I (heart) them. So they stayed!
What do you think?

Business has been busier than I expected.
I've had a few orders here and there. I'm working on the Easter Line right now.
I'm calling these Bunny Buns. How cute are they? Don't they just look like the backside of bunnies? They're rolls.
This little baby was soooo good. Lime Coconut Cheesecake. I got the recipe off Our Best Bites blog. There are a few things I'm going to tweak.
Cranberry Orange Tea Muffins. Made these this morning to thank a neighbor who watched Noah for us yesterday because Emil had surgery on his shoulder.
He had arthritis in his bone so they cut off the piece of bone. He's recovering now. He went in to work today for a few hours but tomorrow he's staying home. He's on pain meds so he's nauseous or dizzy or asleep on the couch. Poor guy. Hopefully this will heal and he can go back to his active lifestyle. When the Dr.'s were talking to us before the surgery I was thinking when did Doctors get so young????
I guess maybe it's me that's not getting any younger. :) Happy Leap Day!

We all

Hmm, too bad I wasn't there to help tear up the carpet. . .

That cheesecake looks fab, and I love the bunnies! Yum!! And I like your Valentines Day pillows. Super cute.

Hope Emil feels better soon. Sounds painful!

I knew you would miss those great family work activities, Emil Michael. Don't worry, I'm sure we can find some new ones for you when you come home this summer!

Good luck on the recovery! It always takes longer than you think it will.

Also, how did the rolls taste? I've been wanting to make the recipe for Easter if it's good.
