So I'm going to start with the most recent and work backwards.
Last night was Kirstin's prom. She went with Josh Fly and her best friend Catherine went with Enoch Councill. Josh and Enoch live in Va and the girls knew them from our church youth group.
Kirstin and Josh just started dating a few weeks ago. They're a goofy pair. We really like Josh. He's a very polite young man.

Because it just wouldn't be prom season without us working on renovations we decided to put a new backsplash in our kitchen.
This is the tile for the wall.
This is for the wall behind the oven.
Here's the before pic.
I did demo earlier in the week.
And Emil hard at work on Saturday.
We only got halfway around the room before we were both exhausted.
We've been pretty busy with Kirstin's Senior activities. Here she is before her Beta Ceremony. Looking so grown up!
Kirstin and Noah had Band concerts.
Kirstin also sang with the chorus this year. She was actually a Teachers Assistant for the class but enjoyed it so much she ended up singing with them.
Over spring break Noah and I went to Jockey's Ridge with the Johnsons. Zachery and Noah are really good friends and Riley and Toby absolutely adore Noah.

We were lucky and got to see them teaching a hang gliding class when we were there.
A long time ago there was a putt putt golf course in front of the ridge with a castle as part of it but over time the ridge took it over. Every year we go to see how much of the castle is showing. This year quite a bit of the turret was showing.
I took some pics of the kids for Mother's Day. I had grand plans to do something crafty with them but didn't manage it. Hopefully I'll get to do something soon.

In March I began running again. I'm going every morning with my friend Jaime. We get out at 6am. Which is really early but helps with not having scheduling conflicts. Plus I get to see amazing sunrises like this one. So far no injuries!

I love Kirstin's prom dress! What a beauty!! Still can't believe she's graduating and moving out for college. Where does the time go??!
I am always impressed at your home DIY skills. That backsplash is awesome!
