Jockey's Ridge

This earth is so beautiful. I can not imagine being able to create such beauty.....

This past Monday we went to Jockey's Ridge for Family Night. Noah loves it there.  It was rather windy but warm otherwise.

This is the Boardwalk that leads from the parking area to the dune entrance. I love how the dune is always shifting, in some places covering the walk and some places leaving a few feet between the sand and the walkway.
(Ok- blogger has a new format and I can see this is going to involve some learning so please ignore that this will not be as clean a look as I learn the new format)

I like how the sand rolls over the dunes when the wind is whipping. It wasn't bad enough to be painful like it is somedays. Just a bit of exfoliation!

We always practice our Yoga poses when on the dunes. (HA!)
Here is Kirstin doing a warrior variation. Love the face!
Me and my hansom Hubby!
Noah going on his walkabout. He is 12 now, so it's time we sent him out into the wilderness to become a man.

Kite Surfers with the zoom lens! Love the lens

Bottom: A trip to the Dunes wouldn't be complete without a run down

Guess who won?

Amazing

Here's to sand in your shoes and the sun to your back!

Nature really is breathtaking! Most especially the beach.

Kirstin has grown up to be such a woman already! A fierce one at that. ;)
